Swine Flu (H1N1)

Worldwide we have been notified on the existence of an unknown, but mortal and dangerous virus. Us, as the population around the world have been told that this virus spreads easily, and that it derived from pigs, although some others say that it is simply a mutation of the already known flu. There are many controversies of this epidemic virus due to the fact that it is a new virus, never seen before March. The main concern is that there is no vaccine in existence to prevent us and help our immune system fight against this virus.
How this particular virus emerged is not precisely known yet. However, they have been many guesses on how this virus derived. Some specialists claim that this virus derived from a combination of pig, bird, and human genes. And if this is true, how is it possible that they have not found any pig infected with this swine flu? In the news we hear lately that this virus came from a pig, but the infection is passed by human contact. How come pigs are not dying from this flu? How can it be explained that farmers are not infected with this virus either if supposedly came from pigs and ir\t spreads rapidly? It has also been managed that this virus was due to a mutation of the seasonal flu that we all know and have experienced at least once in our lifetime. In my opinion this has more logic than saying that the virus comes from the pig. If we pay close attention to what we are being told in the news, it has been brought to our attention that mostly the cities that have the most cases of swine flu are the cities that suffer from more pollution, why is this remarkable? Because it means that the problem is more complicated there because their repiratory system is more delicate and damaged because of so much pollination and contamination they breathe daily.
What it has been said the most is that this particular virus originated in Veracruz, Mexico because an immigrant from Bangladesh brought it and it started spreading ever since. And if this is true why blaming it on the pigs? This is irrational. Later we were told that the virus started in Califormia and it started spreading from there. Tehre are many theories like that that make the population wonder. What really gets my attention is that there are said to be 6 swine flu cases in Texas, about 43 in California, Few others in Oklahoma, adding up to approximately 91 cases in the United states. Now, It would be obvious if we looked at a map and saw that these states are next to each other, but the interesting thing is that they are wuite far from one another. But some others say that nearly 100 have been sicken throughout the whole United States, millions constitute the population of the U.S. and only 100 are "infected". Around 30,000 deaths in one year in the US are caused by seasonal flu, the fear that we are facing currently is that this is a new and strongest virus. And if we already have the medicine that can cure this swine flu, then why worring?
Another fact that i disagree with is the case of the first death, the 2 year-old-baby who died of this so called sine flu. He arrived to Brownsville on April fourth and he died yesterday, he remained sick for about a month and they could not cure him. It is not logical that if the family was taking care of the baby day and night and had continous contact with him are not sick. Or at least, why are they not being investigated to see if they have symptoms or have developed the flu? The same thing happens with all the other victims of this H1N1 virus. How can it be possible that their families are not under observation if it has been said that this virus spreads extremely rapidly?
This situation has caused a tremendous panic among the population, not only from the U.S. and Mexico, but all around the world. And even though we believe what we are being informed, there are many doubts, gaps of information, and questions that have not been answered. This situation is at certain point illogical, incoherent, and doubtful but in my opinion it will be resolved in a quick manner.
